Switzerland (as a member of EFTA) has signed a Free Trade Agreement with Chile in 2003 granting Swiss goods a preferential access to the Chilean market. Chile furthermore has an efficient import system which offers a competitive framework for Swiss companies exporting to Chile.

The Swiss quality label is well perceived in Chile nonetheless Swiss products are not widely known today. There are appealing business opportunities in fields such as medical technology, pharmaceutical goods, the renewable energies sector as well as for investment goods.

The planned trip to Santiago de Chile is intended to enable Swiss companies to gain their own impression on the spot of the local industry and to determine how they might capitalize on the different market potentials.

What qualifies you to serve as an international expert to Swiss small / midsize businesses?:	After receiving his law degree in 1981, Tuto Rossi was awarded a "summa-cum-laude" doctorate for his dissertation on "The First-Demand Bank Guarantee". In 1990 this dissertation earned him the Gottlob Prize for best doctorate research work at the Law School of Fribourg University and the Professor Walter Hug Prize recognizing it as Switzerland's best doctoral dissertation.
